Missions Linked: On a Mission
ON A MISSION
Springfield, MO, May 3, 2010 – Missions Linked; a missions-centric design agency that helps missionaries stay connected with donors and supporters, just completed its 5th year of providing resources for missionaries serving around the world, marketing manager Brianna Fleming announced today.
Missions Linked launched in 2005 when co-owners Jason Nill and Aaron Van Gorp had a vision to supply the tools missionaries need to stay connected with financial supporters and prayer partners. Nill and Van Gorp grew up overseas; Spain/Ecuador and Belgium respectively, as missionary kids and had an unique first-hand perspective seeing the need for ministry focused resources for missionaries. They were very involved in their families fundraising efforts and helped out in preparing the monthly newsletters, stuffing and licking envelopes, posing for prayer card pictures, and traveling to church services most weekends during furlough. After graduating from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, they began to implement their concept to fill the need that first caught their attention living abroad.
Today, Missions Linked provides a wide assortment of tools and services; including materials such as prayer cards, stationery, newsletters, displays, websites, blogs, e-newsletters, and promotional videos. Basically, anything a missionary may need to build a support base and raise awareness.
“It was important for us from the beginning to create a cohesive approach that was both simple and budget conscious for our clients.” says Jason Nill, co-founder of Missions Linked. “This is why we chose the all-inclusive pricing model for missionaries as opposed to the practices of most print companies and design agencies.”
Five years ago, Missions Linked was simply an idea between college friends, now it is serving more than 320 missionaries and organizations all around the world. Nill and Van Gorp feel that the company is only in the infant stages and has the possibility to grow exponentially in this market. Missions Linked is continuing to partner with sending agencies and missions organizations resourcing their missionaries with support building and communication tools. Over the next 12-18 months they will continue expansion of their organization by joining alongside denominations and agencies to train, consult, and share insight from their experiences. Nill and Van Gorp are excited that their passion for missions and design will continue to help missionaries in a much needed market.
